Sugar Bracelet Tutorial
Designer: Laura Bajor
You will need;
1x 2mm Metallic Blue Leather (Approx. 170cm) [TC523] You will need more cord for a larger wrist size.
1x 8x14mm or 14x10mm Blue Crystal Faceted Rondelles (12-14 Rondelles) [BG876]
Step 1. Cut two pieces of leather, one approx. 70cm the other 100cm.
Step 2. Take the smaller piece and fold it in half, pin the fold to a surface, this is your base strand.
Step 3. Now you will need the longer piece, tie it to the base piece where the fold is, leaving enough space so that the loop can fit round one crystal. The inside of our loop measures approx. 1 1/2cm (15mm)
Step 4. Ensure these two longer strands are even, then wrap around the base strands, going over the base strands and then back under.
Step 5. Now thread a bead onto the right strand, and then use the left strand to thread through the same bead, so the threads have swapped sides. Pull tight. The beads will sit long ways.
Step 6. Wrap the outer cords around the base cord, going over the base strands and back under.
Step 7. Repeat step 5 and 6 until you’ve added all the beads. We have used 12, add more for a larger wrist.
Step 8. Knot the two longer strands together, then thread all four strands through a bead and knot all the four strands together. Trim any excess threads.
Step 9. To secure on your wrist take the loop from the beginning of the bracelet and hook it over the knot and end bead.
