Hello, My Name is Edi) I have been making mostly wire wrap jewelry since summer of 2007. I enjoy making and designing jewelry and I very much enjoy custom orders.:)
Sometimes color determents the design, sometimes I know exactly what I need to do. I mainly use 925 sterling silver, or pure copper wire. I also like to oxidize my jewelry to give it some 'character' and or a bit of a vintage look, per say.
Stones... I use just about anything I can find.As long as it is unusual, and 'perfect'. I only use the best and the prettiest stones and crystals I can find. My favorite stones are .. Larimar, Vesuvianite, Andalusite, various fossil stones, Dinosaur bone, Labradorite.. and well ,..many more you'll find these and many more in my shop. I'm a rock hound and my search for the coolest stones never ends :)
Special Orders are welcome.. mater of fact I thrive on them, and some of my best work comes from special orders.
I am also a member of wwes, wold wide etsy sellers.

Monday Solutions ~ How to Waterproof Your Shoes

Life Lessons: How to Waterproof Your Shoes
BY MISTY SPINNEY ON
BY MISTY SPINNEY ON
As rainy and snowy seasons draw near, it’s time to winterize and waterproof all your favorite wearables. That old pair of Toms or Vans isn’t getting any more waterproof as the months go by, and you’ve gotta keep your toesies warm! Here’s a ridiculously easy way to waterproof your canvas shoes using nothing but beeswax and a blowdryer.
Materials:- beeswax (available at most hardware stores or Amazon)
- blow dryer
- shoes! (we used Toms)
- blow dryer
- shoes! (we used Toms)
Here’s a quick shot of before and after waterproofing. As you can see, the beeswax also stiffens up your shoes a little bit. They’re still comfy, just need a little re-break-in.
Rub the beeswax over the entirety of the shoe. If you have dishwashing gloves or rubber gloves, throw those on to keep your hands clean. The beeswax washes off pretty easily though so this isn’t crucial.
Next, use a blow dryer to seal the deal. Melt the wax all over the shoe then let set for about 5 minutes before wearing! Splash a little water to test out your new waterproof shoes.
Looking good!
Now get outside and splash around in all those rainy puddles!!

Ready for the Weekend Recipe: Cinnamon Bun Pancakes.....Yum, Yum!
Ready for the Weekend Recipe: Cinnamon Bun Pancakes
by: http://www.howdoesshe.com/cinnamon-bun-pancakes/
by: http://www.howdoesshe.com/cinnamon-bun-pancakes/
Are you a cinnamon lover? You are going to love me. LOVE me, I tell ya! Why? Because I’m going to be sharing something scrumptious, something EASY to make, something you and your kids will LOVE, and something that will add about ten pounds to your hips. Uh… forget that last part…Trust me, these are SO good. These amazing pancakes have ALL of the flavor and NONE of the waiting/hard work/waiting of cinnamon buns. Okay, enough teasing..let’s get these babies made!
The players:
Griddle or Frying Pan – preheat to medium/low heat and grease with butter, margarine, or that nasty spray (which I used, by the way). Butter = the best.
Dry (though not completely humorless) ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp white sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1 Tbsp Cinnamon (or more if you’re a cinnamon freak, like me)
In a medium bowl, combine these dry ingredients together. I like using a whisk. It makes me feel very “Martha Stewart”.When these dry ingredients are mixed nicely, then you can mix together these remaining ingredients in a SEPARATE bowl. We don’t introduce these two until a little later. Suspense is everything.
Wet ingredients:
2 eggs (whole) beaten – feel free to take out your frustration on these innocent little eggies
1 Cup of milk (or a little more if your batter isn’t runny enough for you)
2 Tbsp Corn Syrup (I only had regular table syrup on hand – worked fine)
1/4 Cup butter or margarine, melted
1 Tbsp vanilla
Beat together these wet ingredients, then add them to the dry. Mix well. They need to not just get to know each other, but fall in love, get married, get thrown from the frying pan into the fire. Okay, just onto the frying pan.
The How-To:
Drop the batter by about 1/3 cup fulls onto the pre-heated/greased griddle and cook until the tiny bubbles JUST start appearing on top, then flip over. These only take a couple of minutes to cook.
Serve warm with syrup – and if you know what’s good for you, you’ll serve it up with this delicious Maple Icing Syrup that you are about to make RIGHT NOW!
Maple Icing Syrup
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cups butter – melted
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1/4 cup milk (more if you want it a little runnier)
Combine all of these ingredients and pour over your cinnamon bun pancakes. Then, get ready for a flavor explosion, and one VERY happy tummy! Oooooh, ya….. I can feel the autumn maple-y deliciousness now…can you?
This recipe makes about 10-12 medium sized pancakes. In other words…double the recipe! It tastes soooo good even after sitting in the fridge for a couple of hours. I know this from experience The syrup makes plenty for a double batch. Don’t feel like making the maple icing syrup? No problem…just use your favorite. Hint: Try making your favorite cream cheese icing, only add enough milk to make it pourable. YUMMO!

Monday Solutions ~ How to "Unshrink" Your Clothes!
Monday Solutions ~ How to "Unshrink" Your Clothes!
by: http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2012/10/how-to-resize-shrunken-clothes.html
HOW TO “UNSHRINK” YOUR CLOTHES!
I have a sad story, followed by a happy ending to share with you today.
A couple of weeks ago I was buying No. 2 son a pair of football cleats at the Nike Outlet and inadvertently ended up browsing in the women’s clothing.
Although I wasn’t looking for anything in particular..I did find myself inexplicably drawn to a pair of royal blue pants (or as I like to call them…”comfy pants”). I don’t usually shop for myself at the Nike store…but those pants were calling my name. I just loved the color and they were made out of the SOFTEST tshirt-like material!
So I gave in to the temptation, which was just too great to bear, and purchased the pants.
Here’s the SAD part of the story….I only got to wear them ONCEbefore they were ruined by the evil clothes dryer!
Well, it’s really not the clothes dryer’s fault. I had INTENDED on washing them and then letting them air dry…because I feared they might shrink. But the hubster (bless his heart) got to the load of clothes in the washing machine before I did…and into the dryer they went!
When I went to take the clothes out of the dryer and saw the blue pants…I wanted to cry. My “laundry intuition” (something you develop after years and years and years of doing laundry for a family of 6!) told me they were no longer going to be wearable. Sure enough, they had shrunk in length a good four inches at least! *sob*
Well, I dried my bitter tears and decided to chalk it up to experience and put the pair of “floods” into a bag with a bunch of other outgrown t-shirt items that I like to save for future projects. I tried to move on with my life.
I was ALMOST over the whole horrible experience when I got an email from someone asking if I knew how they could UNSHRINK some article of clothing that had shrunk in the dryer. Hmm…sounded familiar. Of course I immediately thought of my blue pants that were wadded up in an old pillowcase with a bunch of other t-shirt cast-offs. WasUNSHRINKING something even POSSIBLE? Sounded like some voodoo magic to me. But what the heck….it was worth a try.
So I commenced my research into this magic reversal process and was amazed to discover just how EASY it was to “UNSHRINK” clothing (and that it didn’t involve any sort of black magic whatsoever!)
What it DID involve was a sink full of lukewarm water, a capful of baby shampoo and two large beach towels. That’s it!
Here’s the HOW-TO:
Fill a sink with lukewarm water and add a capful of baby shampoo into the water. (Many tutorials I read said to use CONDITIONER…but this made more sense to me…so this is what I used.)
Let the item soak in the baby shampoo water and gently work it through. This will relax the fibers in the clothing.
Remove the garment from the shampoo water and gently squeeze it out. Do NOT rinse it.
Take a large towel and lay the clothing flat on it.
Roll the towel up with the clothing inside it.
Your goal is to absorb the extra moisture, so your clothing is damp but not wet.
Then, get another dry towel and put the piece of clothing out on the dry towel.
Gently stretch the clothing item as it lays out to dry.
Continue to do this until the clothing item returns to its original size. Allow the item to air dry on the towel.
Being the impatient person that I am, I set up a fan to make the drying time go faster and within about an hour or so they were dry! (Of course the fact that we practically live in the Sahara Desert didn’t hurt either.)
The anticipation was killing me so I immediately tried them on. (I guess I had some irrational fear that the stretching I did was an illusion?)
When I pulled them on and they were back to the exact same length they were when I bought them…I was beyond thrilled!!! (See picture at top.)
My “comfy pants” were back!
Now I can’t help thinking about all the clothes that got thrown away in the past because I did not know this trick! (There I go…”overthinking” again! lol)
So do everyone you know a favor…and spread the word before more innocent items of clothing meet a premature demise!

Weekend Recipe: Baked Herb and Parmesan Potato Slices
Baked Herb and Parmesan Potato Slices
from: http://dynamicsnap.blogspot.com/2014/06/baked-herb-and-parmesan-potato-slices.html
Ingredients:
- 2 whole russet potatoes (medium size)
- 2 whole large red potatoes
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon dried rosemary
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Rinse the potatoes and dry them off with a paper towel. Slice the potatoes at a slight diagonal. Try to keep the slices at a similar width (1/4 of an inch would be on the thicker side; about 1/8 of an inch is a nice size or even smaller if you like them morecrispy) so they cook evenly. Add the potato slices to a large bowl.
- Next add the herbs and spices. Then add the olive oil. Mix all of the ingredients together so the olive oil and herbs evenly coat both sides of the sliced potatoes. Lay the potatoes on to a cookie sheet and top with the parmesan cheese. Try to lay the potatoes as flat as possible on to the cookie sheet rather than stacking the potatoes on top of one another.
- Bake in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the thinnest pieces are a golden color. Serve warm right out of the oven as a side dish.

I love designing hand cut gemstones to become beaded or wire wrapped earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
Born in Southern Louisiana, I learned sewing and creating with my hands gave me great pleasure, therapy and new things that I would otherwise not have been able to have. Living in Texas for the past 30 thirty years taught me that even though I prefer the cosmopolitan areas, there is still a Wild Wild West.
I feel like this is the dream chapter in my life, “ Do something you love and you will never work a day in your life."
I feel a natural closeness to gemstones from the earth and always enjoy learning about the metaphysical and healing properties of these elements of the earth. I love sharing this information with you and hope that my one of a kind pieces can have a positive impact on your lifestyle. My beaded and wire wrapped jewelry pieces are made from the finest quality elements and I take great pride in making sure your gemstone piece fits you properly.

Menu Planner
Menu Planner

Menu Planner
How? How is it that the entire day went by and I STILL don't know what to make for dinner? I find myself entering dangerously close to the "whine" line, where the kids pave the way for the dinner hour with complaints of hunger that grow increasingly more pathetic. Just as I enter that last half hour, the kids rolling on the floor dramatically holding their little tummies, I frantically grab at the first box of what-ever-that-was to "whip up" something. Forty minutes later I am sighing with relief, as the kids and hubby wolf down their admittedly mediocre food, and I am safe for yet another day...until breakfast when I will do this dance all over again!
Nope, I don't want to do this forever...That's how I eventually came up with the perfect solution! I created an easily reusable Menu Planner, one that includes a much needed idea section.

Yep, I can't decide if the worst part of cooking is the clean-up or the 2 hours before when you're racking your brain for ideas on what to cook. Well, no more sir! I'm not sure how to elude the monstrosity that is my kitchen after cooking (I'm a ridiculously messy cook), but I refuse to settle for menu mediocrity. So menu planning strategy it is! I have been employing this menu planner for a few months now and it has been my saving grace! We are eating healthier meals, it takes less time to prepare meals, I am saving gads of money, and we have culturally diversified our meals more than ever! It's a win-win-win-win!
Here are just a few menu planning tips you should employ to gain all of these benefits:
To save money: Pick one day to in advance to plan your meals. Create your menu and shopping list at the same time by browsing the sales ad's as well as your cupboard.
To save time: a menu plan gives you the opportunity to prepare entire meals or parts of a meal in advance, use a crock pot whenever you can. Do double duty by choosing meals that have a common ingredient and prepare (pre-cut, pre-soak, pre-wash, pre-cook, etc.) that ingredient all at one time for both dishes
To save your health: Try a new dish and a new seasoning every couple weeks. Keep the food pyramid in mind when menu planning, and include more fresh fruits and vegetables. If you need to, prepare your vegetables, and salads the week in advanced...you'll be more motivated to eat what has already been prepared.
To diversify: Try a new dish and a new seasoning every couple weeks. Glean inspiration from Pinterest Pins, or go online to a recipe directory such as allrecipes.com .

How It Works
Why sticky tabs? I like my menu planner to be tactile, and I am constantly changing my mind, or moving my meals around. This allows me to do so easily, without constant erasing or scratching out ideas. You would think these page marker sticky notes would lose their stickiness over time, as long as they are housed between two laminated sheets, they will not come off, or lose their stickiness.
The how to use is easy...besides the obvious grid/post-it operation, there are a couple little tricks I use to keep my menu planner working for me. The menu planner is divided into two parts: The Weekly Planner, which I reference to see what is being made for each week of the month. The Menu Ideas section, which is where I take from to populate my weekly meal plan.

The menu planner is divided into two parts: The Weekly Planner, which I reference to see what is being made for each week of the month. The Menu Ideas section, which is where I take from to populate my weekly meal plan.
First take the time to populate the Menu Ideas section. Go crazy, write on post-it page markers all the dishes you've ever wanted to make... the dishes that make you look like a superstar, the trusty dishes you cook weekly, etc. I went on Pinterest for inspiration and went wild!
Next glean dishes from your Menu Idea section to populate your Weekly Menu. This is also the time to make your shopping list.
You know , it is far easier to show than to tell: Watch my YoutubeMenu Planner webisode to see how, and gain a few important details.

How to Make Your Own
I've done most of the work for you, but I won't take away the fun of personalization! Below you will find the Menu Planner printable in word format that you can download and customize, or in pdf format for those who want to print and use as is. Just remember, the word format will be a little discombobulated and needs to be downloaded to view and alter.
If you do not own a laminator, use Scotch brand full-sized self-laminating sheets, just follow the directions on the package.
Customization & Assembly Tips:
Type in Your Own Categories: My categories are: Drink Ideas, Salad & Appetizer Ideas, Breakfast Ideas, Lunch Ideas, Dinner Ideas, and Dessert Ideas. Use as many pages per category as you like. Decide your layout and page order, and place pages back to back so they will be double sided before laminating.
Type in Your Own Subcategories: My planner contains subcategories according to the way I plan and search for meals. Personally I think of my meals by predominant ingredient or meal base: Grains, Bread, Pasta, Potato, Vegetables & Legumes, and Sides.
A more "normal" labeling method would probably be: Appetizers, Bread, Pasta, Soup, Salad, Sides. Or perhaps label according to cultural food type: Asian, American, African, Indian, Italian, etc. The ideas are endless, the point is to divide up your sections according to the way you think.
Color-code Subcategories with Post-its: Keeping your subcategories further defined by using one or two colors in each section will make it quick and easy to put the stickies back in their place when not in use. Don't forget to customize your stickies too! I chose to use Post-it page marker signets, but I loved the adorable Martha Stewart brand 1 1/2" x 2" size as well!
Change the Font & Colors: While you're already customizing, why not make it suit your personal style? Whether you change the font, or the colors, or drastically change it, you'll be more motivated to use something you put a little work into.
Customizable Word Format (must be downloaded to be viewed properly)
